The Challenge.

I wanted to take a quick moment to update all of you who give a damn on The Challenge.  I am happy to report that I have successfully posted at least, if not more, one posting per week since the beginning of 2011.  I have been more than thrilled with the amount of comments, emails and post suggestions I have recieved.  The amount of people who have signed up to recieve email notifications when I publish a new posting has been incredible and the amount of traffic to my barefoot blog has doubled since I have grown the balls to put links to my posts on facebook.

I know its not brain surgey to have a blog.  Anyone can have a blog.  And just about everyone does.  But they all don’t have a clear purpose.  If I am going to take the time to ignore my children to sit at the computer, I better make it worth while.  I hope that my musings, rantings, ravings, or what ever you want to call it, are clear enough that to see my blog is all about what my barefoot  life is like living on an island in the Caribbean, because it is way different than anything you know as life in America.  You might think its “paradise” but look again.  I just killed another rat (right G’ma Jimmie?)

PLEASE keep posting comments, emailing me and stopping me at the post office to give me feedback.  Good or bad.  I have a list a of ideas for postings, including guest bloggers (c’mon, I am not the ONLY barefoot mom on this island!)  It has really kept me motivated and renewed my spirit towards this island.

Now, on to my day. I sure hope it rains today.  I need a change of pace.  I am tired of this sunshine every single day.
