Dorky Pajama Pants Needs Serious Help.

21 Feb

Wha?  The first DIY post of 2012 for the bfm??  Yep.  Here it is.  And its super exciting, let me tell you….yawn.

Background:  Extremely dorky-too-big-around-the-fu-pah-buttocks-area-too-long-pajama-pants in what I thought was a cute navy & white polka dot.  I love Navy Blue.  Purchased new on eBay only to find out they are the Walmart brand.  Oh well.  Tis life. Nothing against Walmart, its just not my first choice.

I cut about 6 inches off the bottom of the legs, searched my fabric scraps, cut and sewed a cute, extra large cuff on the bottom.  It doesn’t help the biggness in the tummy-butt area, but at least it helps the dorkness factor some what.

Point is- take something ordinary and everyday and make it orginal.  Make it your own.  Paint it, sew it, jack it up in some way or another.

Look around your house to see what you have that could be changed with some fabric, a coat of paint or a few lickings with a heavy meatal chain.  Maybe your husband?

MONKEYS AMY? Come ON!! People think I live in an exotic locale. You live with MONKEYS in South Africa!!! :) We call those palms Fish Tail Palms. We have monkey-no-climb trees. Does that count {note to bfm: must blog monkey no climb} xo

@ Lucy- see? We don’t have to make fancy-smancy dresses for our girls all the time! As long as it has straight lines- I am all in! Thanks for the comment! xoxo
