Thank You, Stork.

announcement_01And not just any stork, but The Purple Stork.  Twice they delivered and more than just a beautiful product.  What am I talking about?  Why, birth announcements, of course.  I used thepurplestork.com when SC was born.  I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with their product.

So, when it was time for SJ’s announcements, why make it hard on myself?  Back to the Stork I went for their assistance.  I selected a simple design that showcased a beautiful photo that Stephanie Schoyer took of the lad when he was just a week old.  Simple text with just the stats and a cute one liner:  worth the weight.  Cute, huh?

Upon recieving my order, I was sent a PERSONAL email from the same person who assisted my with my first order.  They not only congratulated me on the birth of our son, but said how happy SC must be to be a big sister.  When I placed the order via the on-line form, the only indication I gave them was that I had used their services in the past.  Yes, I admit, all they had to do is look up in their records my last name, but the fact that THAT is what they did and sent a personal note with my confirmation.  What more could I ask for?

Well, they topped it even more.  Last minute, I decided to have the announcements shipped to Texas so that I could get them in the mail ASAP and not wait until I returned home to STX.  Not a problem they told me.

When I opened the box in Texas to review the final product, I also found a key-chain with SC’s announcement on one side and SJ’s annoucement on the other.  HOW SWEET WAS THAT??!!!  The perfect key chain for the keys to my new (used) vehicle that I finally purchased!  THANK YOU!

The Purple Stork does all sorts of announcements, cards, invitations…what ever you can imagine.  The quality is superb, the price is terrific and above all, their customer service is the best I have seen from anyone who I have done business with via the net.

I know there are several new mommies and new mommies to be on STX who might be looking for this type of service and stressing about price and quality.  I can assure you will not be dissapointed in The purple Stork.  Give them a look!

My 37 Week Belly.

31 Jan

WARNING:

Not for the squemish or closed minded.

FINALLY- this week I had the opportunity to go up to Steph’s house for my prego-photo shoot.  And, OH MY, the ONLY thing that would of made it any better would of been a few bottle of champagne.  The good stuff.

I wanted Stephanie to do these shots (she was supposed to do it when I was preg with SC…..) because I knew I could strip my skivies and feel comfortable in front of her.  I also knew she would allow me to do strange and silly shots that are not your normal “sweet” belly shots, and be totally into it with me.  But, none the less we got those, too!  And PLENTY of silly shots as well.

Here are some of our favs, the “decent” ones we can share:

This is the sweet shot!  How about this for a Happy Valentine’s Day?

A really cool angle.  After the grunting & groaning it took to get me in this position, Stephanie tells me its all right, she can deliver babies.  She is a trained EMT.  Was that supposed to put me at ease?

ONE of the silly shots.  She pulled these tights out and I was all over them; or should I say in them.  I requested her black heels.  Her assistant lugged out the green chair.  It was so perfect.  Just the type of photo I wanted.

It was also at this point that I lost track of how many times I said “Carl’s grandparent’s can never see these photos!”
My Mother will say “Why did you do this?”
His mom will say “They’re beautiful!” Even if she secretly thinks they are strange.

At the end of the day, I am so happy I did this and look forward to the day when my children will appreciate them.

Looking for a good time?  Call Stephanie.  No matter the occasion (I caught HER at a Mary Kay Party taking photos if you can believe it!) She can bring the out the beauty, oddity, intimacy, humility…out of any subject.

Hey, I admit, this type of thing may not be for everyone.  I am just not the Sears Portrait Studio type of gal.  And I won’t judge you if you are.
